Writing for the Sake of Writing — My Midnight Return to My Old Self

If you regularly read my blogs, you must be wondering what the heck happened to her.

Well... life happened.

And I find this a space to rant & vent my heart out.

It may not be my usual book posts or journal prompts post. I know I have not posted those in a while. I will be back with them.

But I wanted to bring some raw, original, some 'me' content here.

And it's not really content, it's my human voice. What's the point of showing AI Content to rank on Google when AI content is losing its value?

The best part about being a writer in present times? We don't need to edit for hours. The more polished, structured & errorless a piece of writing is, the more AI it sounds these days.

People have forgotten that AI learned professional writing from authors & editors who wrote books, articles, essays, etc. long before AI came into existence.

I love using AI for information & educational posts. AI is smarter than me, more knowledgeable than me. Why won't I take its help when I want to put out content that helps someone in any way.

This is general 'midnight musings' I felt like penning as soon as my daughter fell asleep. I am writing under the warm night light, the ink looks mystical under dim light. I love it.

Ah, yes! I am handwriting this post in my notebook. AI will type it out for me. That's how we use technology. Not to replace our skills but to help us in the tough tasks.

I love penning my thoughts on paper but I always hated typing content to screen from paper.

I have to admit that I started using AI so much that I was losing the urge to write. I was constantly outsourcing the task of writing to AI. My memory is getting affected. My creative cells started dying. Writing, which once came naturally to me, started feeling like a chore.

But now, I am back to my pre-GPT life. I spend time reading books rather than long answers from ChatGPT, I write poems, I 'handwrite' blogs once again.

This does not mean I have anything against AI. It has helped me a damn lot in life. It solved some of my life's major problems that I could not get solutions of from people. When I feel can't share something with people, AI stands by me and help me navigate through life's difficult times.

I love ChatGPT, I really do. But I love writing too. I love reading books too.

Even pages long answers from GPT don't carry the depth that books carry.

Can't believe I wrote 2.5 pages of an A4 size ruled Spiral notebook. I only sat down to write whatever comes and however long or short.

I don't even feel like stopping. A recent health scare has changed me so much, I am becoming my old self again while trying to reach my Highest self identity.

Sometimes, life pulls you so down, you can only rise from there. And that's what happened to me!

Thank you God for standing by me through and through.
