When Your Faith Wavers, Stop and Do This

As a human who has never seen God with my eyes except for pictures & idols, my faith has wavered more times than I can count.

I am a devotee of Maa Vaishno Devi. My life is surrendered to Her but living in a socially overwhelming environment, surrendering often comes with questions and disbelief.

There are several debateable topics in the society in which I believe it's best to leave things to God but the society believes in controlling the outcome.

And that leads to nothing but exhaustion.

Surrendering is not easy when your limits are constantly being pushed. When you want to leave things to God because the ultimate plan that works is God's plan, but the society keeps forcing you to control those outcomes because their 'luck' worked once for, e.g. a baby's gender.

And when I see those people winning, I question whom? Obviously God. I ask God how did they win at something only You had the control over. Maybe it was their destiny but they start thinking of themselves as God.

Even God seems distant during those moments. But that's not true. God is not distant. God is trying to show you the bigger picture.

Recently, I faced a traumatic event and what I missed the most was my Mata Rani's lap. She seemed to be absent. Her presence could not be felt.

But then, I remembered how she has never left me alone before. How she held my hand at every point. How she stood by me at my lowest.

And soon after, she indeed showed me the bigger picture. She revealed the faces of deceitful people and brought me justice.

So, next time your faith wavers, step back from reality for a few minutes and see what God could be rearranging in your life right now.

There's always a bigger picture at work.

and now, I am JUST…waiting for them to face their karma.
