The Magic Of Counting Little Blessings

We are so busy chasing big joys, big numbers, we forget to take a look at little things we already own, that seem not-so-big but when seen from the perspective of someone who dreams of them, it humbles us.

Finding privilege in motherhood exhaustion.

I often get exhausted from looking after my daughter continuously on days when her school is off and she refuses to take a nap. But then, I remind myself what a privilege it is to be her mother. There are so many couples waiting for their bundle of joy, and when God has blessed me with one, I cannot take it for granted.

Even now, I mentioned a huge blessing but little blessings like a cup of morning tea/coffee taken in peace, in an unhurried way, are a luxury for many.

I am inconsistent in journaling for the last few weeks, but I remember the time when I needed my journal & ink the most but I was unable to journal due to some medical reasons. When I was able to resume journaling, writing felt like the most luxurious experience.

When we count our blessings — little & small, our energy collects and attracts more things to be grateful for.

Journaling for manifestation and reality.

You won't understand the power of counting your blessings every day until you've made counting blessings a habit.

I have been writing gratitude in a journal since 2015. It was the first & easiest kind of journaling I started. Whatever I wrote in it (even future events) became my reality within one to two years. It felt gradual but magical.

We all have a habit of thanking God / Universe for big things, blessings or achievements in life but do we thank God for little things like that warm, cozy hug from your child or a loved one? It’s a privilege for many. It’s a privilege to have them.

Gratitude for small financial wins.

I thank God when 10 dollars appear on my AdSense but I also thank God on 10 cents days. I got something and my dad always said: Something is better than nothing.

So, grab a journal & list 3 things you are grateful for today. Alternatively, you may also download my Life-Changing 2 Minutes Gratitude Journal from Gumroad. (Use code 'READER50' for an exclusive store-wide discount for blog readers)
