There was a time I believed no pen could ever match the Pilot V5.
That smooth, inky glide… the elegance with which it turns thoughts into lines.
It’s never just a pen — it’s a feeling.
A promise that every word will land exactly as intended.
And then came Figo.
Affordable. Charming. Effortless.
It wrote like a dream — the kind that makes you pause and admire your own handwriting.
For a brief while, I thought I’d found the one.
A worthy rival to my forever love.
The Figo roller ball pens, especially those humble ₹10 ones, had that same sleek ink flow that made my writer’s heart flutter.
They reminded me that beauty doesn’t always have to come with a price tag.
Until, slowly, the magic started to fade.
The ink that once danced began to flood.
Pages that once stayed clean now bled with uneven strokes.
Especially their Figo Nuttie pen — too generous for its own good. The company did well with their Panda series but replaced it with Nuttie.
It began to pour more ink than the nib could hold, as if it couldn’t contain its own excitement to be noticed.
And that’s when I knew…some loves are fleeting,
born to teach you appreciation for the ones that stay.
Because the Pilot V5 never disappoints.
It remains unshaken, consistent, graceful, and true.
It doesn’t shout for attention; it simply shows up,
writing every word as beautifully as it did the first day we met.
So yes, Figo almost stole my heart, but Pilot V5 remains unmatchable.
Some loyalties are written in ink too fine to fade.
